Partnership with other like minded community leaders demonstrates our commitment on being a Green company and education for a more sustainable environment.



The mission of PBS SoCal is to interactively educate, entertain and enlighten our community. Previously known as KOCE, a pioneer in educational television for 37 years. Today that legacy continues, providing academic resources to the community with PBS SoCal Education. Serving K-12 students and teachers in more than 80% of local Schools in greater Los Angeles area. PBS SoCal Education provides new media tools and training that engage students in 21st century learning.


The Green movement has prompted for many organizations to form and issue certifications for those products and manufacturers that make strong efforts to preserve the environment. Kohburg is proud to be a member of these third party organizations who identify low-emitting materials, finishes and products for indoor environments.

About GREENGUARD Certification

UL Environment's GREENGUARD Certification program helps manufacturers create and helps buyers identify and trust interior products and materials that have low chemical emissions, improving the quality of the air in which the products are used. All certified products must meet stringent emissions standards based on established chemical exposure criteria.

GREENGUARD Certification is broadly recognized and accepted by sustainable building programs and building codes around the world. Additionally, the GREENGUARD Product Guide serves as a free online tool for finding certified low-emitting products for offices, hospitals, schools, homes, and more.

U.S Green Building Council

U.S Green Building Council

A Washington, D.C. based nonprofit organization committed to a prosperous and sustainable future of the nation through cost-efficient and energy-saving Green buildings. The organization monitors the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible and healthy environment that improves the quality of life.


Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)

Recognized by the United Nations and many environmental organizations (eNGOs), FSC is the world's leading organization to continuously improve the standards of forest management, including ecological, social and economic sustainability.

Manufacturers whom are official FSC members and use FSC Certified lumbers for their products assure consumers their products come from managed forests fit to meet the standards of present and future generations.


International Organization for Standards (ISO)

This non-governmental organization is the world's largest developer and publisher of International Standards. It forms and establishes a connection between the public ad private sectors. ISO is a network of the national standards institutes of 160 countries (one member per country) and is centralized in Geneva, Switzerland.

The organization's member institutes are part of the governmental structure of their respective countries or are mandated by their government. The ISO network allows a consensus to be established regarding solutions and criteria that meet both the requirements of business and the broader needs and expectations of society.


Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS)

CHPS is the United States' first green building rating program especially designed for K-12 schools. CHPS provides information and resources to schools in order to facilitate the construction and operation of high performance institutions. A high performance school is energy and resource efficient as well as healthy, comfortable, well lit, and containing the amenities for a quality education.
